Mediation is facilitating a joint consensus seeking process to come to an agreement. This can be done in most conflict situations. In labour law mediation is often used to negotiate settlement agreements, separation agreements and is used in facilitation of affected Employees in retrenchments.  

This course will teach you advanced negotiation techniques and strategy that can be used in both labour and commercial negotiation.

Arbitration is a formal process where both parties present their cases before an Arbitrator who after evaluating evidence and submissions makes a decision in favour of one party or the other.
